The program titled “Strengthening Entrepreneurial Ecosystem in Bhutan” is a joint effort of the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) and Antarprerana Pvt. Ltd. to strengthen Startup Center Thimpu. In the month of April 2021, a total of two sessions were organized.
The first session for the second cohort of startups was conducted in hybrid mechanism (virtually from Nepal and physically in Bhutan) on 21 April 2021, Wednesday. A two-hour-long session included a set of activities primarily on the topic Importance of Business Visioning for Entrepreneurs that was co-facilitated by Ms. Anu Shrestha, Rural Enterprise and Value Chain Development Specialist from ICIMOD, and Ms. Narayani Gaha, Program Manager from Antarprerana. The session included a brief presentation by the entrepreneurs. They were assigned to work their own business’s SWOT analysis, and based on that business’s Vision, Mission and Values will be set that will support in shaping their business.
The second session was a Training of Trainers (ToT) on the topic Business Health Checkup (BHC) that was carried out on 28 April 2021, Wednesday. Ms. Gaha, from Antarprerana facilitated the second session for the core team of the Startup Centre virtually in the presence of by Ms. Shrestha. The session was graced by the presence of Mr. Niraj Khanal, CEO at Antarprerana. The session dedicated to the group work whereby each participant were paired and a demo Business Health Checkup was carried out for a hypothetical or if available real business in a Breakout room. This session was more interactive and engaging that helped participants to practice and gain authentic experience of conducting BHC.
