TBC Job and Entrepreneurship Fair 2021

04 May, 2021

Targeting for the April 9th, 2021 as the main event day for ‘TBC Job and Entrepreneurship Fair 2021’, Antarprerana was called in as a knowledge-partner at The British College (TBC), Thapathali. The program targeted for the young and aspiring entrepreneurs from TBC was held in a strategic partnership with the Jobs Dynamics with the motive of providing them a platform for the jobs they were rightfully looking for. Moreover, the event beautifully provided a good network of investors for the budding entrepreneurs who were looking for investments/strategic partners for their businesses.

The role of Antarprerana started from the 6th of April till the 8th of April in facilitating ideas related sessions, whereby performing its role as a jury on the final date of 9th April, 2021. After the series of sessions that were facilitated by the respective organizations, Antarprerana facilitated sessions under the title of ‘Shaping Series’.

The Shaping Series was led by Ms. Shraddha Shakya (Project Manager, Antarprerana) with the backup support and co-facilitation of Ms. Swechha Adhikari (Program Coordinator, Antarprerana) and Ms. Diksung Sherpa (Investment Associate, Antarprerana). The series of sessions included major activities which would help students/aspiring entrepreneurs find out the answer to what they were looking for.

From solving the Solution Tree to developing a Business Model Canvas (BMC), the session was comprised of the major activities which helped boost the confidence, and enrich students with the right knowledge for the business they wanted to carry out.

  1. Shaping Ideas as of April 6th, 2021
  2. Prototyping and Minimal Viable Product (MVP) as of April 7th, 2021
  3. Business Model Canvas (BMC) as of April 8th, 2021
  4. The Job Fair as of April 9th, 2021

These sessions were targeted to shape the business ideas that prevailed among the students, and to find out the major ‘WHAT’, ‘WHY’ and ‘HOW’ of their businesses following the principle of ‘Golden Circle’ first introduced by Sir Simon Sinek. And following up to the feedback receiving culture of Antarprerana, it was overwhelming to have received critical as well as supportive feedbacks from the students as well as visitors at the day of presenting Minimal Viable Products (MVP).

Through the session facilitations on the first three days, Antarprerana was represented by Ms. Diksung Sherpa (Investment Associate, Antarprerana) and Ms. Aniska Shakya (Program Intern, Antarprerana). The Pitching from the aspiring entrepreneurs who were also the students at TBC were joined by representatives from M&S Venture Capital and Antarprerana. Facilitating students through the pitch and providing few feedbacks, the Pitching session was ended after the successful pitch made by 3 entrepreneurs while the Job Fair went along for few more hours.
